Chip Larsen, PTA

Physical Therapy Assistant

Chip is a near lifelong resident of Addison. He graduated from Morton College with a degree as a Physical Therapy Assistant in 1982. After graduation he worked in an out patient facility in Wheaton, and at an area skilled nursing facility. He has treated a variety of patients from workers compensation, post surgical intervention, stroke, joint replacement, shoulder maladies, and common strains.

After mixing time between out patient and geriatric rehab, Chip worked in house exclusively at a skilled nursing facility. There he specialized in post-stroke, amputation, traumatic motor vehicle accident, joint replacement, and West Nile Virus rehab.

Chip used to work part-time of Optimal Health Institute in the past. He is ecstatic to now be working full-time here so he can better serve the community in which he lives.

Chip’s areas of clinical interest include, athletic injuries of the shoulder, knee and foot, chronic conditions, impaired mobility, and evaluation and treatment of injuries in the younger athlete.

Chip feels that experience helps to reinforce educating the injured patient so they can take a more active part in their healing process.
